Peace

Dear Friends,

Isaiah 26:3  You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You.

The battle we all face is how do we keep our mind steadfast on Jesus, on His word, when our circumstances are shaking and quaking? When uncertainty surrounds us and we have no answers?  How do we access the peace of the Holy Spirit, which every believer has access to, in such unstable times?

Recognize that the devil tries to quench our effectiveness by stealing our peace and causing us confusion.  He would like us to live in a constant state of worry and emotional upset to render us immobile to advance God’s Kingdom.  Jesus says in John 10:10 that “the thief comes only to kill, steal and destroy: I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

Phil. 4:6-7
Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.   If you do this you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.  His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. NLT

Look at your situation through the eyes of God.  Is it something He cannot fix?  For there is nothing that God cannot repair and restore.  Have you thanked Him for what He has done for you and for what He is going to do for you now?  Thanksgiving engages His supernatural assistance into whatever you are facing.  “We enter His gates with thanksgiving”  Ps. 100:4  Can we trust and release our faith, “casting all our care upon Him?” 1 Pet. 5:7

Jesus is not worried, upset or depressed about anything.  He is the “Prince of Peace.”  This is one of His names.  So therefore, as believers in Christ, we can also live in peace because His spirit dwells within us.  So if peace is already in us, we simply need to pray away our cares believing that victory is already ours because of Christ crucified and raised to life!  He already defeated our adversary so let’s live our freedom out!

peace,
Diane
