  • Nationwide Church Prayer! - The trumpet is blowing, the alarms are sounding, wake-up church! What does the church need to wake-up to? It's a wake-up call for the church to have a voice and take action in the spheres of society. The Lord would like His people to occupy this land which was founded upon godly principles of freedom. While we were tending to our own flocks, the enemy was positioning his agenda in the leadership roles of society. Now, here we are! It is a full onslaught collision of darkness versus light! Covid-19 became the access road for the devil to unleash all… Read More
  • Enduring Strength - Our daughter and her husband are raising four boys, and she likes to tell me about their "teachable moments." I'm going to share my "teachable moment" from the Lord that may help you with enduring strength. A few weeks into the pandemic, watching the news and understanding the effects of viral deaths, lockdown, lost jobs, and social injustice, my heart was extremely grieved. My empathy and compassion were overwhelmed. My husband retired, so we have not personally been impacted like others. Nonetheless, my heart took one stab after another. One early morning, the Lord told me to go to the… Read More
  • Why we do Not Fear! - Fear is the substance of our enemy, the one who is lurking about to "steal, kill, and destroy." When we agree with fear, it builds and effects our environment. We carry it. We talk about it. We release it into the atmosphere. This is what is happening all over our world right now. Spirits of fear are trying to control and delay God's termination of Covid-19. Fear opposes faith. It causes immobility and allows the enemy to have his way. In fear we cower, shrinking and trembling at what the news is portraying. We can understand why non-believers are afraid.… Read More
  • Rest - Matthew 11:28 Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to Me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn My ways and you'll discover that I'm gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. TPT God has me in a season of rest and I am learning this is not about taking naps. Rest is necessary and oftentimes overlooked. We run until we crash. Our bodies break down and we wonder why we are sick. As a culture, we believe that hard work is… Read More
  • 2020 Perspective - Good morning friends! It's a great year to be alive and participate with the plans and purposes of God for our nation! 2020 is the number for perfect vision, and I believe we will see an outpouring of dreams and visions releasing clarity of God's plans and purposes! Take note of your dreams and seek God for interpretation. The Bible is full of people having dreams as a form of communication. Joel 2:28 "And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will… Read More
  • Political Encouragement - Do not let your Christmas be sabotaged by the impending impeachment news. The Lord recently encouraged me regarding His hand in our government and I felt led to share. I watched a clip on the news about how to make it through the holidays without arguing about politics. Disagreement or not, anger can arise over what's taking place. Let's be mindful of our conversations. I was wondering and asking the Lord how He is going to clean sweep our government when evil has gained right of access and has permission to be there. Anytime enemy spirits occupy a territory, it… Read More
  • Harvest and You! - This time of year is beautiful for many reasons. Harvest time for crops is upon us along with leaves changing color, temperatures cooling and holidays coming up. While harvest in the natural signifies the gathering of crops, harvest in the spiritual signifies the gathering of the lost. John 4:35, Do you not say, there are yet four months, and then comes the harvest? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. This morning the Lord was sharing about the harvest and understanding people. With our modern day technology,… Read More
  • The Aroma of Christ - 2 Corinthians 2:15-16 For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing , from one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. My husband and I live in an area with strong contrasting aromas. One day you walk outside and smell Hershey's chocolate, which comes from their factory 30 minutes away. The next day you walk outside and smell manure being spread over nearby farmland. Each aroma is distinct and attaches to a specific cause. The same is true with… Read More
  • Thrive - This morning while taking a shower I was thinking about my schedule. My showers are lengthy due to my think time. The next three months have a number of major events including: helping two families move (our own grown children), a family vacation, a conference and an international missions trip. I thought to myself, "I will have to kick into survival mode." The survival mode has a mindset of, " hold on til the ride is over. I have no control over whats happening. " The Lord broke in and spoke, "not survive mode, thrive mode." I had to process… Read More
  • “What the World Needs Now” - A number of years ago in 1965, there was a song that went like this. "What the world needs now is love sweet love, it's the only thing that there's just too little of, what the world needs now is love sweet love, no not just for you but for everyone..." A love deficit covers the earth today breaking connections between God and man, husband and wife, parent and child and friend to friend. People are communicating to one another through social media believing their need for connection is met. There are scores of hurting people looking for "love in… Read More
  • Africa Mission - I stared at the carefully cultivated hillsides while traveling into Uganda from Rwanda. The soil was dark and rich, the vegetation green and healthy. Workers in the fields were women swinging pick axes. There were no tractors, oxen or work horses. Thinking about the exertion on one's back and neck almost created pain. Some women had their baby's bundled on their back. Other small children sat in the dirt nearby. There are many homes without electricity and most roads are dirt, not pavement. It felt like backward time travel a couple centuries. Our team of nine, led by Peter Seth… Read More
  • Judgment - "Don't judge a book by its cover." This familiar phrase is used to tell us that there is "more than meets the eye." We decide what to wear, what to eat, how to decorate our house, where to vacation, etc. all based on what is pleasing to our eyes. Our sense of sight makes many a decision for us. That's fine regarding material things. However, when it comes to people it is a different story. God choose David to be anointed King when he was still in the field watching sheep. Scripture tells us in 1 Samuel 16:7 "For the… Read More
  • Achieving your Resolutions - I love this time where we can evaluate and make decisions on home improvement. By home improvement I mean look at ourselves, considering our person to be a home, and see how we can remodel. I have years of experience of making resolutions and seeing what works or not. My theory was: have about 20 goals for the New Year, and if only three come to pass I am still ahead of those who only went after 1 goal. I no longer do that because to adopt 20 new somethings into my life is a bit extreme to say the… Read More
  • Do not Fear! - There is fear in the atmosphere.  Negative news sells and the media goes after the emotional response of anger and fear.  The bombardment of hearing and seeing worldwide catastrophic events can create fear which in turn creates immobilization.  The enemy of this world would like us to believe we are powerless and have no course of action.  However the Word of God tells us different. Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. 2 Timothy 1:7 For… Read More
  • Celebrate Your Life! - Celebrating your life sounds like an oxymoron given the times in which we live.  The evils of this world surround us and darkness is trying to overtake us.  Jesus says in John 16:33, "In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." The following three reasons  for celebrating your life are just a smidgen of information regarding this topic.  I believe the Lord wants us to celebrate our life because He breathed into us at birth and takes delight in being our Father. Celebrate your life: 1.  Because of who you are:    2 Cor.… Read More
  • House Grace - It all started seventeen months ago when the Lord whispered, "get your house ready for sale."  As exciting as that sounds, no one could have prepared me for the journey.  Living in a home for twenty-two years and raising four kids in the process, ample memories were formed:  Bible studies around our kitchen table, camping in the backyard with the youth group, cookouts, picnics, volleyball games, Superbowl parties, sleepovers, etc.  Our house was a place where people would come and leave blessed. Once the kids grew up and left, the purpose behind a large home turned into more work and… Read More
  • A New Name for Failure - I was highly enthusiastic and zealous to spread the word of God throughout central Pennsylvania. If the fire of God starts here in the heart of PA, it will spread to all the corners of the state! The more I thought about it the more I was convinced God had a special assignment for me.  Surely God was showing me a path to reach the lost and the wounded. My friends, Pastor and husband were all optimistic.  I prayed on it and felt God's green light.  We handed out invitations to the townspeople where I would be conducting  meetings.  The… Read More
  • Ever Present Strength - Fresh ideas and new inspirations are upon us at the beginning of this new year. A time to recalculate may be on your agenda. Making changes to grow is both stimulating and adventurous keeping our journey fruitful. I enjoy this time of year as I hunker down with the Lord and evaluate progress and what lies ahead. As always there is a new resolve to exercise for a sharp mind and energy.  Likewise my spiritual journey undergoes evaluation. As long as we are moving forward we will not grow stagnant. God has strength for us to make the changes He… Read More
  • 2018 Word - I grew up riding and owning an Appaloosa horse named Apache.  He was the love of my life for a number of years before I noticed boys.  As the Lord began to unfold a word for this year having to do with horses, my ears perked up. If there are horses in heaven I expect to have one.  Oftentimes my images of Jesus are us riding horse together.   I have dreams involving horses so I know their symbolism. Psalm 147:15 He sends forth His command to the earth: His word runs very swiftly.  David ran to Goliath in battle.  He… Read More
  • Imagine If… - Imagine if every time your kid communicated to you, it would be to ask for something. In prayer language this is called "petition prayer." We all pray this way and hopefully it is not all the time. If my children only spoke to me when they wanted me to do something, we would have a very strained relationship. Hence so it is with the Lord. He is desiring a relationship with us and that relationship means more than what He can do. Looking at the world's needs, as my mother would say, "we can pray all day." Those issues that… Read More
  • Posture - I noticed that as I get older, my posture wants to get lazy. Strengthening my core is a term I never thought of in my younger years. It is essential to exercise my core since everything else is held up by it. Let me relate this term to our Christian journey and what I see happening right now. The definition of posture we are all familiar with is this one: The position or carriage of the body in standing or sitting. Here is another definition: an attitude or frame of mind. This is important as believers' because our nation is… Read More
  • Gain New Strength - Isaiah 40:28-31 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.  Waiting for the Lord is an activity… Read More
  • “RISE UP” - My husband and I flew to Atlanta to visit our youngest son. We made plans ahead of time to see the Falcons first game of the season in the new Mercedes Benz stadium. I was more or less going along for the ride with this game, following behind my husband and son watching their excitement. I soon got caught up in all the enthusiasm of the fans even before we went into the building. There was an entire field full of freebies, food, games and music. Everyone was excited for the opening game. Once we pushed ourselves through the gate… Read More
  • Stethoscope Anyone? - We all know this drill. The doctor says, "take a deep breath" as he moves the stethoscope around listening to our heartbeat. It is quiet except for the the sound of breathing. Recently the Lord was revealing to me His desire to hand out stethoscopes. I waited for further explanation as I was thinking, "this can't be the Lord." The times when you think this can't be God, oftentimes are. I was alert and waiting. The Holy Spirit began to speak to my heart about our spiritual climate. Our country is in chaos and wrong seems right and right seems… Read More
  • Love and Function - Dear Reader, It is interesting to note the correlations between our earthly family and our heavenly family. Mothers and fathers represent the heart of God. He is both male and female not just male. In a healthy family children can grow up knowing and understanding the love of our heavenly Father by the experience of their earthly parents. All is not lost however, if the earthly family has a single parent or children are in foster care or orphanages, etc. Our God is redemptive and He restores all people unto Himself and heals their hearts once they choose Christ for… Read More
  • Overcoming Disappointment - Dear Reader, Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life. We can become disappointed in people, including family, ourselves and God. Disappointment can lead us into discouragement which can even take us into depression. I'm sure we have all been disappointed at one time or another in our loved ones not meeting our expectations. I recall early in my marriage my husband not living up the expectations I had for him. He did not want my list of what I expected him to repair and fix at the end of his work… Read More
  • Election Overload - Dear Friend, When will it all stop? When is all this noise going to calm down and when will people start behaving appropriately? I don't know. I find myself becoming agitated at the false news reports, all the criticizing and condemnation. I have been wondering and pondering how I personally can make a difference in all this turmoil. Let me share what I sense the Lord is saying: #1. Pray. 1 Thess. 5:17 says "Pray without ceasing." This is a good season to practice this verse, although many of us have already been doing such for the past number of… Read More
  • “Can These Dry ones Live?” - Dear Reader, I was having my prayer time with the Lord and suddenly had a thought. I thought I might preach a sermon right here and now in my living room. I have experience with preaching to no one, so I thought maybe there is something the Lord wants me to know, and I will find this out as I preach to my empty room. My father made me a podium, so I wheeled that round and about positioning it so I could speak out my window, maybe the birds would be listening. Then I heard to open to the… Read More
  • Mary and Martha - Luke 10:38-42 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, He came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to Him.  She had a sister called Mary who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what He said.  But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made.  She came to Him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself?  Tell her to help me!"  "Martha, Martha, the Lord answered, "You are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing… Read More
  • As a Sheep - John 10:27-28 states "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of my hand. Let's take a minute to ponder the importance of hearing God's voice.  If we are not hearing His voice then we will be following our own voice, or the enemy's voice which could lead us down the wrong road. The voice of the Holy Spirit will affirm God's love for us.  This is something we all need to hear. With all the negativity in… Read More

  • The Power of Thanksgiving - Dear Friends, 1 Thess. 5:16-18  Rejoice always!  Pray without ceasing!  Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus! ESV I have learned over the years that giving thanks unto the Lord is powerful and extremely helpful to staying positive and on top of the circumstances.  There was a bit of a mix -up a while ago where people thought giving thanks in all things meant  thanking God for whatever calamity came their way.  This is not what we are thanking God for. We do not thank Him for the work of the enemy.… Read More
  • Stay Tuned In - Dear Reader, The Lord has been speaking to my heart about how to posture ourselves as a people of God in these times.  The news media completes with one another over who can carry the story to create the most response.  It is said that bad news sells better than good.  We are seeing so much bad news lately that we can barely breathe between the soundbites.  In times of interceding for our country, I could feel the passion reaching a tipping point.  After a period of warring for our country, I heard the Lord say "to soar."  That is… Read More

The team came from as far away as Australia. While we had a schedule and itinerary God showed up each day in a variety of ways. When we drove up to our accommodations we all looked at one another for surely this did not look like the hotel in the picture we were sent. Our hotel now looked like a ski chalet! There was a river out front. We had a… Read More
  • What is the Holy Spirit Saying? Pt. 2 - Dear Friend, Mark 16:15 says, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." 1 Corinthians 14:1 says "Pursue love, yet earnestly desire spiritual gifts, ... My last post spoke about a season of stillness, and what season is the Holy Spirit speaking to you about? Let me share here about the season in which to go and do! Maybe you have already been sitting and waiting on the Lord and maybe you have your vision and are ready to run with the Lord. "Running with God is fun!" as Graham Cooke would say. • What is the Holy Spirit Saying? Pt.1 - Dear Friend, One of the most helpful insights Believers can have, is knowing what season they are in. What is the Lord saying to us right now and how should we respond? WE are entering the summer season and many people take time off work to go on vacation or garden or enjoy the warm sunshine to exercise in. I enjoy swimming so I look forward to the summer to swim. However, what is the Lord saying? It will be different for each of us. In Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus says, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your… Read More
  • Finding God in the Woods - Dear Reader, Thank you for watching my video and taking the time to connect with me. I truly believe that life without Christ is like a world without color. A world that can only take you as far as your own talent and ability. A world where you have to depend on the limited resources of mankind and also depend on your own logic. There are many voices in this age in which we live and you need to determine who to listen to. Which path will you follow? Who do you want to journey through life with? What is… Read More
  • I Press On - Dear Friends, Phil. 3:14 "I press on towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." The time is at hand. The Superbowl will be played in less than a week. My mind ponders the correlations between football and our Jesus journey. In my heart I carry a passion for people to get in the game. I believe that God needs His players to step onto the field, carry the ball and score one for the Kingdom. We are not unqualified nor unable. You and I carry the Kingdom of God within us, provided… Read More

  • God’s Will to Heal - I was in Hong Kong on a missions trip. There was a Kingdom Culture Conference taking place at the Convention Center and there were about 5,000 attendees. The message was over and the team began to pray for people. I went to a woman and she said both her knees and ankles hurt. She could hardly walk because they were swollen. I knelt down and touched first her knees then her ankles. After a short healing prayer, I stood up and asked her to see if any change took place. She began moving her legs up and down. Then she… Read More
  • The Challenges of Trials - Dear Friends, John 16:33  These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace.  In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world. The Lord has been speaking to me about "inner core strength."  Just as the athlete strengthens his core so his posture is stable, we are to strengthen our core in the spirit.  Then when the trials come, our core, our spirit man, will stand firm upon the rock of Jesus Christ and not be moved!!  The whole world is shaking and moving right now.  It may continue this way… Read More
  • Inspiring Speech - Dear Friends, What are we saying?  What are we telling our spouses?  Our Kids?  Our co-workers?  Our friends and families?  The Bible says in Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit."  Our speech either produces life or produces death.  We either bless or curse with our words.  Do we listen to what we say?  Or just ramble? I used to be on my high school track team.  Our team was number 1 in the district for all four years I was in High School.  My coach… Read More

The love of God is powerful.  It is healing for us, it demonstrates Christ and it enables… Read More
  • Positive Possibilities - Dear Readers, It's a new year! Hallelujah! The angel of the Lord, Gabriel, says to Mary, "For with God nothing will be impossible!" This is one of my favorite verses because it reminds me that the possibilities with God are endless. Not only are they endless, but when you consider God created the heavens and the earth, and that He brought Jesus into this earth wrapped in a miracle birth, that supernatural power speaks volumes. God's supernatural power gives us new hope. New hope for positive changes. New hope for prayers seeing their manifestation. New Hope for the word of… Read More

Jesus healed all who were oppressed, so can we. God was with Jesus, and Jesus is with us now. We can experience the Bible and do what Jesus did. We simply… Read More

We would soon come to find out over one million people were involved. How long we would sit there, we did not know. The church service was to begin at 7:00pm and it was already past that time. Soon I was able to sit peacefully in our mode of transportation and smile out the window. Welcome to India! The land of fascination.
