“Can These Dry ones Live?”

Dear Reader,

I was having my prayer time with the Lord and suddenly had a thought. I thought I might preach a sermon right here and now in my living room. I have experience with preaching to no one, so I thought maybe there is something the Lord wants me to know, and I will find this out as I preach to my empty room. My father made me a podium, so I wheeled that round and about positioning it so I could speak out my window, maybe the birds would be listening. Then I heard to open to the familiar passage in Ezekiel, chapter 37 about the dry bones. Ez. 37:1 The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Ez. 37:3-5  And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, O Lord God, You know.” Again he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you and you shall live!”Ez. 37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone.

As I continued to preach on the dry bones coming back to life I realized this is a picture of revival. I also felt impressed that the Lord wants all of His people to begin to prophesy His life into the dry bones we see all around us! The climate in America can change as we speak the Zoe life of God into all the areas of darkness that are permeating our society. We don’t have to be a part of the angry crowd or the crowd that has lost hope. You and I have the greatest hope of all! Eternal life in Christ Jesus!  Many people have yet to experience the miraculous love of God and therefore you and I are needed in the harvest to prophesy the goodness of God and demonstrate His love.  Let’s be mindful of the power that God’s words carry and let’s be diligent about declaring His words over our nation, our families, our churches, our media, our schools, and our government! Pray and prophesy!

Blessings

Mary and Martha

Luke 10:38-42

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, He came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to Him.  She had a sister called Mary who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what He said.  But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made.  She came to Him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself?  Tell her to help me!”  “Martha, Martha, the Lord answered, “You are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed.  Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

I recently had a prophetic word that addressed the Martha in me.  I am not to take on too much.  Wait on things and don’t jump at the first possibility.  When your love language is service it prompts the desire to serve God all the time because you are showing Him love.  I know how to be Mary and sit at His feet and only look at Jesus.  But it seems for a time I have let Martha take over.  I believe that God has many servants and not as many friends.   He has many “Martha’s” and not as many “Mary’s.”  He has spoken to me to, “Streamline your schedule.”  Then He said this “Mary is the bed of revelation.”

I believe there are many whom God is calling to be “Mary’s” right now.  God is desiring to give His people a fresh revelation of His love.  Out of  that love will come a fresh love for His people and the lost.  In this hour where the world’s darkness is growing, we must shine brightly with the love of God.  We must sit at the feet of Jesus, hear not only His words, but His heartbeat.   What will be the strategic plan of heaven for each of us to impact our communities, nation and world?  What is our voice to the world for Jesus?  These are not questions we have answered through Martha, but we have them answered through Mary.  As we spend time with Jesus, we will hear His voice more clearly and we will know His heart.  We will feel His heart for people.  This is imperative if we are going to change our families, our workplace and nation!

USA UNITE

USA UNITE is a passion upon my Heart.  A passion to see how God answers a unified time of prayer from churches in all 50 states of North America as we come together on one day this year!  That day is 10/16/16!  7 pm your time frame!  This is our year to take back the land of America!  The devil has been playing his hand, and he has been too heavy handed lately and it is our time to “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon upon you. For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you and his glory will appear upon you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Isaiah 60:1-3

The Lord made it very plain on my heart that a church from every state will cover our country as we all agree to “humble ourselves and pray and seek My face and turn from (our)their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

There are many crucial issues facing this country.  But God!  “All things are possible with God!” Matt. 19:26   We will unite in prayer for the strengthening of our families!  We will unite in prayer for racial tension to be relieved!  We will unite in prayer for this nation to see God’s choice for president! Trusting that this president will partner with the Almighty and help turn this ship around before we crash on the rocks!  We will unite in prayer for the healing of our physical land!  We will unite in prayer for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit!  May “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven! ”  Matt. 6:10   “Because as He is, so also are we in this world!” 1 John 4:17

Please pray and see. Pray and see if your church will join us in prayer.  The facebook page is USA UNITE, and I will be posting churches that are participating.

Also, please pass this word!

Bless you!

Diane

The Power of Thanksgiving

Dear Friends,

1 Thess. 5:16-18  Rejoice always!  Pray without ceasing!  Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus! ESV

I have learned over the years that giving thanks unto the Lord is powerful and extremely helpful to staying positive and on top of the circumstances.  There was a bit of a mix -up a while ago where people thought giving thanks in all things meant  thanking God for whatever calamity came their way.  This is not what we are thanking God for. We do not thank Him for the work of the enemy.  We give God thanks because He is bigger and more powerful than our trial and we thank Him for who He is and for Him bringing us through the trial successfully and victoriously!  Thanksgiving keeps our emotions positive and focused on the Lord rather than empowering the enemy with negative thoughts and a defeated attitude.  I have come to develop an “attitude of gratitude” and I will share here what I believe that attitude looks like.

  1. Thanksgiving releases faith and trust.
As we thank the Lord, we are releasing our faith and trust in Him to guide us through the difficulty, trial or adversity.  We are communicating that we know God has our back and He will demonstrate His love and power in what we are facing.  Our thanksgiving comes out of experience for His help in the past, and even if you don’t have experience of His past help, start now.  Look in the word of God to see His protection, His guidance, His comfort, His grace, His love and power. Believe on these things and you will have no difficulty giving thanks.
  2. Thanksgiving brings you into divine alignment.
Any time we follow the word of God and act on it, we are in divine alignment.  We are in agreement with the word of God and His Kingdom.  Jesus Christ has already provided a way for us to conquer and come through any dark tunnel.  He defeated the enemy and has given us all authority to do the same.  Thanking God for Jesus Christ and our salvation is supreme!  As we align ourselves with the kingdom of heaven, God’s power will be released on our behalf through Christ!
  3. Thanksgiving releases joy!
I am a happier woman by focusing on who God is and what His word says, rather than focusing on the problem and allowing the enemy room to harass me.  God is good and He is not the author of evil.  John 10:10 says,” The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, I (Jesus) have came that they may have life and have it abundantly!”  Knowing that God is good is the prerequisite to giving thanks thereby experiencing His joy!  Nehemiah 8:10 …the joy of the Lord is your strength!”  Your thanksgiving will produce the joy of the lord which will produce His strength. His grace (divine enabling)  will give you the victory!

    Blessings,
    Diane

Stay Tuned In

Dear Reader,

The Lord has been speaking to my heart about how to posture ourselves as a people of God in these times.  The news media completes with one another over who can carry the story to create the most response.  It is said that bad news sells better than good.  We are seeing so much bad news lately that we can barely breathe between the soundbites.  In times of interceding for our country, I could feel the passion reaching a tipping point.  After a period of warring for our country, I heard the Lord say “to soar.”  That is a whole new perspective of prayer.  Instead of slugging it out in the dirt, we pray from the heavenly places and praise is a high form of prayer.  Eagles soar above the storm and it is effortless.  They fly using the storm currents to propel themselves.  Not only that, eagles can see a rabbit from 2 miles away.   They can see a field mouse from 650 feet up. Their vision is 5 times as great as man’s.  We want to be tuned into what God is saying and pray accordingly. We want to see the world through His eyes and listen as He leads His mighty army forward.

Isaiah 40:31  But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

The key to having our strength renewed is this; spend time with the Lord.  Do not give up your quiet time and do not give up your word time.  Stay tuned in. That means you stay on the frequency of God’s kingdom, not the world’s.  We cannot allow ourselves to stay tuned in to the bad news media.  Our hearts need guarded.  Proverbs 4:23  keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.  Our hearts need protected so they do not become hardened and desensitized to sin and compromise.  This is a crucial season for our personal relationship with the Lord to be strong.  Our intimacy with Him protects our heart and enables us to love people as Christ has loved us.  This is the second greatest commandment.  As we have our communion time with the Lord, His love will be strong in our hearts and then we can carry His love to the lost and hurting.  Stay tuned in to the frequency of heaven.  Stay on the love channel and protect your heart! Let not the storms of life drag you down, but may you fly on their current taking you higher than ever before!

Blessings

What is the Holy Spirit Saying? Pt. 2

Dear Friend,

Mark 16:15 says, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

1 Corinthians 14:1 says “Pursue love, yet earnestly desire spiritual gifts, …

My last post spoke about a season of stillness, and what season is the Holy Spirit speaking to you about? Let me share here about the season in which to go and do! Maybe you have already been sitting and waiting on the Lord and maybe you have your vision and are ready to run with the Lord. “Running with God is fun!” as Graham Cooke would say.

We are given the great commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel. Maybe your world is your workplace. Maybe it is your community or your state. Maybe you will travel the globe and preach in a multitude of nations! Follow the desires of your heart. If you wonder about being called to the nations, go on a missions trip. You will quickly find out if that is your heart’s desire. If the season you are entering in is “to go” then by all means back your vehicle out of the shop and start driving. If you make a couple of wrong turns, it’s OK. A moving vehicle is easier to turn. Paul tried to go a couple places and the Holy Spirit redirected him.

I mentioned the spiritual gifts verse because the spiritual gifts are tools in our belt. They are helps for people to experience the power of God, thereby knowing He is real and likely to make a decision for Jesus. 80% of people who come into the Kingdom, do it because they have had an experience with Christ. Pursue Spiritual gifts. The way to increase spiritual gifts is to practice and be consistent. Praying for the sick takes some persevering to see results. Speaking words of encouragement should be ongoing in our spiritual journey. The Lord has me hugging strangers because they need to feel His love.

We should always be motivated by love. God’s love for people and our love for Him. If we are entering a “run” season, let’s be mindful that it isn’t about reputation, fame, numbers, promotion and what we can do. It is all about His heart of love for the brokenness of humanity and our compassion and humility. “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6 With God’s grace may we go forward and advance His Kingdom bringing heaven to earth!

Blessings,
Diane

What is the Holy Spirit Saying? Pt.1

Dear Friend,

One of the most helpful insights Believers can have, is knowing what season they are in. What is the Lord saying to us right now and how should we respond? WE are entering the summer season and many people take time off work to go on vacation or garden or enjoy the warm sunshine to exercise in. I enjoy swimming so I look forward to the summer to swim. However, what is the Lord saying? It will be different for each of us.

In Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus says, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it; “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Psalm 46:10 says “Cease striving and know that I am God.”

The Lord has taken me through a season of stillness. A season where He literally drove me into His shop, parked me like a car, turned off my engine and lifted up my hood. Some internal adjustments needed to be made. He could not work on me right away because I kept taking myself out of park and rolling away. But eventually as He began to take all my assignments away, by that I mean that I lost interest in doing what I was doing, I stayed parked. It was very uncomfortable at first because stillness is not my strong suit. My love language is service and I want to serve the Lord non-stop. But, I spent a couple months in God’s shop and He made upgrades to my engine and this season of stillness was very productive!

I mentioned the love scripture above because the love of God, in my experience, has not come from “doing ministry.” The love of God that I have received and experience has come from the place of stillness and communion with Him in His presence. You may be called to sit at His feet and receive in this season. You may be called to spend time in the word feeding your spirit man. You may be called into a season of prayer. This is a place of refreshing and restoring your soul. This is a place of revelation. The upgraded external assignment God has for you and I, requires an internal upgrading as well. Oftentimes we need a renewing of the mind. We may need to let go of the old. The stillness season is a place of transition. However, after it’s through you are empowered to begin your new assignment you have been waiting on!

Blessings, Diane

I Press On

Dear Friends,

Phil. 3:14 “I press on towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

The time is at hand. The Superbowl will be played in less than a week. My mind ponders the correlations between football and our Jesus journey. In my heart I carry a passion for people to get in the game. I believe that God needs His players to step onto the field, carry the ball and score one for the Kingdom. We are not unqualified nor unable. You and I carry the Kingdom of God within us, provided Jesus is Lord of our lives, and therefore we can score. The Kingdom of God has taken some hits, but this world “Ain’t seen nothing yet.” God has many plays yet to call, He is brilliant beyond all brilliance, and He will hand out His plays to those who will huddle with Him. His play book is far superior to any we could think up, so let’s hear His course of action.

Many times we can bench ourselves and there are times God benches us as well. However, let’s not stay there. For whatever reason we are resting from the game, we will be called back in and we must not tarry. We carry the greatest news known to mankind. We carry the greatest love this world has ever known. We carry the glory of God. We have good news, encouragement and power from the Holy Spirit dwelling within us. Let us not stay on the bench and watch the kingdom of darkness score. We are the light of the world because of Jesus the ultimate light! We are able because of God’s grace to see victory! He is our empowerment to carry the gospel down the field and do the works that Jesus did! Let’s score for the Kingdom and populate heaven!

Blessings

Revamping your Vocabulary

Dear Friend,

I was sitting down beside my husband listening to our Pastor preach on “Being Born Again.”   This was a familiar message, however he delivered it with such passion that he had my full attention.   The Lord had another message on His mind for me.  Sometimes that happens where He breaks through your thoughts to deliver His revelation.  In an instant, God spoke to my heart to say that I can’t spend longer than thirty minutes in the kitchen because I have spoken this word over myself and agreed with it.  In fact it has been a joke of mine for years.  I cook and prepare meals but when it comes time to clean-up, I do something else first.  The Lord showed me that when I say, “I can’t” it stops any motion to accomplish that particular task.  The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:13 that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  That verse even works with kitchen chores.  I renounced that joke, repented, and prayed to receive God’s grace so that I can stay in the kitchen as long as needed to finish cleanup.  I have been freed and it is no longer a problem!

Then the Lord began to show me other tasks that I have said “I can’t do.”   Another family joke was that I could not “copy and paste.”  Well, I renounced that and I can copy and paste.  The Lord continued to reveal my list of “I can’ts.”  There were a few regarding ministry.  There was one having to do with exercise regiment.  In fact as I write this I am still going through my list while the Lord is freeing me into becoming a “can do” person.  “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13)  Please realize that the words you say bless or curse. They have power.  Your words will move you forward or put a stop to His plans.  Your words are like a roadway which create a place for travel into your destiny.

I love the way God uses natural things to prove a supernatural point.  God desires to be involved in every aspect of our life, not just the spiritual sections.  But chances are that if we have a bunch of “I can’ts” in the natural, we have them in the spiritual as well.  God’s grace empowers our words if our words align with His words.  If we speak contrary to His word then His supernatural power will be blocked.  As we speak God’s words with faith we will see results.  As we remove what we cannot do from our speech and embrace what we can do with His help we will see ourselves doing more than we ever thought possible!

Blessings,

Diane

The Challenges of Trials

Dear Friends,

John 16:33  These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace.  In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.

The Lord has been speaking to me about “inner core strength.”  Just as the athlete strengthens his core so his posture is stable, we are to strengthen our core in the spirit.  Then when the trials come, our core, our spirit man, will stand firm upon the rock of Jesus Christ and not be moved!!  The whole world is shaking and moving right now.  It may continue this way for quite some time.  We must stand firm and steady lest the winds of adversity topple us over and gain victory in our lives!

Just as inner core strength for the athlete relates to posture, the same principle applies spiritually.  The inner strength we develop in our relationship with God, will help our posture through trouble. Can we stand tall and strong through the storms of life?  Can we hold fast to Jesus and let Him navigate the way through stormy seas?  For if we blame Him for our trouble, then how can we ask His help?  We live in a fallen world.  God is not sending us trouble, sickness and disease.  God is good all the time!  God is our rescue and our fortress and our power for the hour no matter what the trouble!  It could be as small as losing your keys or as great as a cancer report!  He is our stronghold in times of trouble, (Ps. 9:9)  and nothing can separate us from His love. (Ro. 8:39)

Develop your relationship with the Lord by prayer and word study.  Go to a church preaching the word of God.  Know how to respond when trials come, in alignment with His Kingdom.  Pray, speak out the scriptures that pertain to your situation, and do not fear!  Get quiet with the Lord and listen to His wisdom.  He will direct your path.  You may not have the “Why” question answered.  But you will have the,  “What should I do about this?” answered. With each trial comes spiritual muscle and increased faith.  So the next time around, your faith and trust is increased.  You saw God come through before and He will come through for you again!

I am reminded of my son who went through Army Basic Training after his junior year in high school.  I remember his commenting that after such an exercise, what people find to get worked up about, is really nothing.  He had already gone through tough training and he is stronger and prepared in case of an emergency.  Our trials and tribulations will strengthen us, increasing our faith and stability!

James 1:2-4 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when  you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance, and let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

Blessings, Diane
